GB's Denise Johns and Lucy Boulton play in front of the Life Guards

GB’s top pairing of Denise Johns and Lucy Boulton were on Horse Guards Parade on the day it was officially announced that Blackpool will host the English Masters – the first time the European Championship Tour has come to the UK - and to check out the venue for beach volleyball when the Olympics come to London.

They were joined by GB male counterparts Gregg Weaver and Steve Grotowski as the Blues & Royals and Life Guards changed guard duties in the iconic spectacle which delights tourists from around the world.

The two mounted regiments form Her Majesty the Queen's Life Guard every day, and the Sovereign's Escort on State occasions. They maintain their world-famous traditions which date back to 1660.
