I am very pleased to be associated with Action Indoor Sports, an exciting sporting concept new to the UK.

Huge in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, Action Sports has reformatted popular sports including soccer, cricket and sandball, turning them into fun family entertainment available to all age groups, all year round.

The first UK centre at Whitchurch, Bristol opened early in 2007 and Managing Director Greg van Laun, invited me to help set up the sandball facility which we have expanded to conform to beach volleyball needs, and to run the first indoor Beach Tournament.

The result is the UK's first purpose built indoor beach volleyball court which is available for year round beach training as well as for fun sandball matches.

Action Sport's proven success is based on appealing to all ages. Teams book a court in advance and the matches are supervised by full time professional umpires. The scores are recorded and each team is handicapped, so whoever a team plays in future, they are assured a fair result regardless of age and skill of the opposing team, in much the same way as golf.

With its spectator facilities, bar and food, all overlooking the play, Action Indoor Sport is perfect for anyone looking for fun and a healthy lifestyle, as well as the sport and fitness enthusiast.
